Turning a Disappointment Into a Dream Space
We’re thrilled to have been featured as a case study by SupaLite, one of the UK’s leading tiled roof system suppliers. Being recognised by a company we trust and work with regularly is a real honour – and this project in particular is a great example of why we love what we do. Why not check out their case study here.
When Mr. and Mrs. Spero reached out to us, they were understandably frustrated. A few years earlier, they’d tried to update their conservatory by replacing the old polycarbonate roof. But instead of making the space better, the quick-fix “clad over” system they’d been sold had left them with constant leaks, heavy condensation, and a room they could barely use.
They came across Greenoak Concept & Design while searching online for a reliable solution – and we were happy to help.
What Went Wrong
The original conservatory roof was far from ideal – too hot in the summer, freezing cold in the winter. Wanting a quick and affordable solution, they went with a company that installed a clad over system. Unfortunately, the workmanship just wasn’t up to standard.
Within a few months, the conservatory started leaking in several places and condensation began building up on the ceiling. The couple tried getting in touch with the original installers but weren’t getting anywhere – so they decided to look elsewhere for advice.
How We Helped
Dale visited the property to take a look and it was immediately clear that the roof needed replacing – patching it up wouldn’t cut it. We recommended the SupaLite Tiled Roof System, brought along a sample to show how it would look and feel, and talked through the long-term benefits.
Once everything was agreed, our team got to work:
- We completely removed the failed roof system
- Repaired the structural issues it had caused
- Installed a brand new SupaLite Tiled Roof
- And finished the interior so it was warm, dry, and ready to enjoy
The transformation was night and day. What was once a cold, damp space is now a proper part of their home – usable all year round, and just how they’d always hoped it would be.
