What is an Insurance Backed Guarantee?
Every Greenoak product comes with an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG), giving you complete peace of mind long after installation is complete.
We provide our own guarantee on workmanship and materials, and the Insurance Backed Guarantee underwrites that promise. In simple terms, it means that if an issue covered by our guarantee were ever to arise and Greenoak were no longer trading due to insolvency, the insurance would step in to honour the guarantee in line with the policy terms.
An IBG is designed to protect you against events such as liquidation or bankruptcy, ensuring your investment remains protected even in the most unlikely circumstances. Full details of what is covered are clearly set out in the policy wording.
By supplying an Insurance Backed Guarantee with every product we sell, we’re reinforcing our commitment to quality, accountability and long-term customer confidence.
What types of IBGs are available?
You will automatically qualify for an Insurance Backed Guarantee on eligible Greenoak window and door products where glazing makes up more than 50% of the design. We arrange this cover through HomePro, one of the UK’s most established insurance-backed guarantee providers. Depending on your project, the following options may apply:
Warranty Cover
This provides protection against defective workmanship and faulty materials for the duration of the guarantee period, typically up to 10 years. Cover begins once your installation has been completed.
Deposit & Warranty Cover
In addition to covering workmanship and materials, this option also protects your deposit – up to 25% of the contract value, capped at £10,000. Deposit protection begins when payment is made and runs until work starts or the deposit policy period ends, after which the warranty cover continues.
Our Insurance Backed Guarantees can also extend to multi-site projects and commercial installations, including new-build developments and commercial properties, ensuring the same level of protection regardless of project scale.
